Shavuot
at Chabad of Auraria Campus
Shavuot: June 8 - 10, 2019
Message from the Rabbi
Over 3,331 years ago, the children of Israel stood as one nation at the foot of the Mount Sinai and received the Torah from G‑d. Each year on the holiday of Shavuot, this historic event is re-lived as the Torah is given anew to every Jew.
At Chabad of Auraria Campus, we are offering a chance to make that connection personal.
Please join us Saturday night June 8th starting at 9pm for a special meal followed by an amazing evening of learning featuring international speaker and award-winning author Laya Saul!  Laya will be speaking about "Navigating Life's Challenges Through the Stories of Our Ancestors". She will also speak about "Jewish Women in the Torah" based on her newest book "Sisterhood of the Copper Mirrors: The Legacy of the Jewish Woman".  Don't miss this sought-after speaker all the way from Tzvat Israel!
Additional ongoing classes and delicious food will be offered throughout the evening until 1:30am.  .
You can find more information about the holiday and our programming below.
Wishing you a happy Shavuot,
Rabbi Yisrael and Aura Ort
